CEBU, Philippines — Cebu developer Nexus Real Estate Corp is bullish on the condo market as it turns over the first tower of its maiden condominium development in Talisay City.

Last Saturday, the company turned over the Tower 1 units of its Antara development in Barangay Lawaan III, Talisay City in south Cebu.

The five-tower project is the first vertical building venture of the Cebu-based developer after more than 10 years of developing horizontal projects all over Cebu.

Tower 1 is an eight-storey building that has 158 condominium units.

Company officials announced the groundbreaking of the project’s Tower 2 and construction of the retail strip are set to start sooner together with other components of the project.

The three other towers will be 12 storeys high and will be designed for mixed-use purposes.

The project is under Nexus Prime Residences Corp, NREC’s high-end residential arm.

Antara is master-planned project and sits on a 2.9-hectare lot.

The entire development will have residential, commercial, and recreational spaces

It is composed of 5 towers for residential, hospitality and office/industrial units, a unique recreational-adventure park, a 3-storey commercial strip, and a wellness and leisure centre.

Property consultancy firm Colliers International had noted in its previous report that demand for condominiums in Cebu was seeing an uptick given their proximity to the business center and increased affordability.

Dinbo Macaranas, senior research manager at Colliers Philippines, had noted take-up of horizontal and vertical developments is expected to remain at a healthy level looking ahead, with a slight bias on condominiums considering the business activity in Metro Cebu.

End-user demand in the property market will continue to come from employees of multinational companies, manufacturing firms and business process outsourcing entities.

Colliers had recommended that developers cater to the affordable and mid-income segments by developing projects with price points between P1.7 million (USD34,000) and below P6 million (USD120,000) TCP threshold where demand is strongest.

Furthermore, location will be key given the worsening traffic situation in Cebu.

Supported by a steadily growing business center in Cebu City, Colliers expects property demand to continue, particularly for affordable and mid-income segments. (FREEMAN)

NEXUS Real Estate Corporation celebrates another milestone as they crowned their very first Mister and Miss Antara during their annual sales kick-off and appreciation night last January 30 at Sarrosa International Hotel.

Joey Gupita, a representative from Land Asia Realty and Development Corp. bagged the title of Mister Antara while Catherine Cuerpo of Leuterio Realty and Brokerage was crowned Miss Antara. The competition was divided into several categories including the production number, swimwear, long gown and evening attire and the question and answer portion.

The winners will have the privilege of serving as Antara’s ambassador and ambassadress and will appear in magazines, billboards and marketing media of Nexus Real Estate Corporation.

The pageant was the highlight of the retro-rock themed party, ‘Nexus Party Festival 2018’. Living up to its name, the evening was filled with live music, dancing, and flashy outfits. The event was held in celebration of the success of the company’s projects and also in recognition of Nexus’ partner companies and its individual agents.

Shanna Lopez, the company’s CEO, graced the event as she formally welcomed the guests during her opening speech.
“Tonight, we reminisce our past successes as we look forward to our future endeavors,” she said as she recognized the longtime partnership of Nexus with the different companies.

She concluded her message with a gentle reminder. “Tonight, we should have fun. Tomorrow, we should go out and change the world to those seeking to find a new home, and make them part of the Nexus family.”

Antara is the latest development of Nexus. It is a 3.2-hectare eco-conscious residential building located in South Road Properties (SRP) in Talisay, Cebu. It offers several amenities such as adventure parks, nature landscapes, picnic areas, and its own shopping mall.

LAST July 15, Nexus Real Estate Corporation conducted a Tree Planting Activity at Barangay Lawaan III, Talisay City, Cebu in cooperation with the health workers and officials of the said barangay.

With the theme “Magkahiusa, Magtanum para sa Malamboong Kumunidad”, the company continues to be an active steward to integrate a healthy environment and promote sustainability where their projects are located.

The senior citizens were all smiles as they participated in the aerobic exercise, enjoyed the short programme with their healthy snacks and brought home goodie bags.

The activity was headed by Nexus chief executive officer Shanna T. Lopez, together with assistant vice president Ernesto Ocasiones Jr. and Barangay Captain Delia Ybañez. The donation of the park also delighted the seniors.
The senior citizens participated in aerobic exercises, enjoyed a program with healthy snacks, and brought home goody bags.
